Hal, Your rejoinder
to GNP columnist Patrick Azadian is right on target. Enough
of the fluff and one man's opinion stuff. It's time for all of the GNP
columnists, editors and writers to put some meat on the bone and get to the
real issues affecting the people of Glendale and the surrounding communities. Maybe
with new editor Dan Evans, the newspaper can begin to do a better job
investigating and reporting the mess made by the officials, policies and practices
of our city government. Where are the in-depth interviews with people of
opposing viewpoints on the direction our city government is taking? The bland dishing
out of pablum and lack of risk-taking or constructive
criticism of the status quo has left our community with too few voices heard
and too much time and ink wasted on trivia. Thanks Hal for once again pointing
out the importance of perspective in news coverage. In fact, you'd be a great
community leader for a GNP feature Q & A. Keep up the great work!
